Daniele Silvestri emerged as one of the premier exponents of the Italian rock renaissance of the 1990s. His generally good-natured, expressive pop/rock balances social awareness, playful experimentation with a variety of styles, and a focus on songcraft. After releasing his self-titled debut in 1994, his sixth album, 2007's Il Latitante, was his first to land in Italy's Top Five, aided by the chart-topping single "La Paranza." Two albums later, 2016's Acrobati went all the way to number one. ~ Marcy Donelson
