In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was 14 when I saw the Jimi Hendrix Experience with the Walker Brothers, Cat Stevens and Engelbert Humperdinck. Hendrix came on first and played ‘Purple Haze' and my life seemed to tilt into another dimension. Incredible showman, writer and musican.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers, Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton Deluxe Edition The Rolling Stones, Black and Blue (2009 Remaster) ZZ Top, Tres Hombres All three albums live deep in my heart. Clapton's guitar playing on the Bluesbreakers album was an early epiphany. Black and Blue was when I realised how much the Stones meant to me. Tres Hombres was my first meeting with the genius of Billy Gibbons.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Living Like a Yo - Yo (feat. George Andrew & Jack Sinclair)” ‘Living Like a Yo-Yo’ was a game-changer in all departments. Produced by Robin Trower and recorded by Jordan Fish for my 2011 album Take Me There: "I was born, I was bred / I got cut and I bled…” My world changed right here. Ask ChatGPT
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Robin Trower produced my song Living Like a Yo-Yo. Recording that song with Jordan Fish engineering and Livingstone Brown mixing was a game-changer. We then got Paul Jones to play harmonica on another track on the album and the band's world changed.
