Tenor Elgan Llyr Thomas has appeared in opera and concert music across the British Isles. Thomas was designated an Emerging Artist by the Scottish Opera and a Harewood Artist at the English National Opera, where he has appeared in several roles, including Ralph Rackstraw in Gilbert & Sullivan's HMS Pinafore. In 2013, Thomas released his debut recording, Llwybrau'n Can. Thomas has appeared in a wide variety of operatic roles around Britain and beyond, ranging from Count Almaviva in Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia to Dr. Richardson in the European premiere of Missy Mazzoli's Breaking the Waves. In 2019, Thomas appeared on in a recording of Elgar's oratorio Caractacus conducted by Martyn Brabbins. Thomas' solo debut, Unveiled, came in 2023; the album featured works by gay composers, including a song cycle, Swan, by Thomas himself.
