Seattle-based R&B/pop vocalist EMI is elusive in person; she prefers her music to represent who she is. EMI seemingly emerged from nowhere in 2016 with the release of her debut single "Phantom," which gained hype on the internet due to its moody atmosphere and ghostly vocals. The following year she returned with a full-length titled Planet, which featured numerous producers including Nav, Charlie Handsome, Sevn Thomas (Rihanna, Drake, Kanye), and Rex Kudo (Post Malone, Mac Miller). The mixtape was designed to give an inside look into EMI's daily life, covering everything from hustling to relationships. ~ Liam Martin
