â English singer-songwriter Gabrielle Aplin first built an online following by posting acoustic covers of such artists as Katy Perry, Bob Dylan, and Ellie Goulding.
â In 2012, her cover of Frankie Goes to Hollywoodâs âThe Power of Loveâ appeared in a Christmas ad and subsequently caught fire, topping the UK singles chart.
â English Rain, her Gold-certified 2013 debut album, went to No. 2 on the UK charts and spawned another Top 10 single, âPlease Donât Say You Love Me.â
