June's Diary's Popular Music Videos
Artist Biography
The product of Chasing Destiny, a BET reality competition created by Kelly Rowland, June's Diary is a contemporary pop-R&B group that came together in 2016. Rowland felt that R&B was in need of groups with makeup similar to that of her defunct multi-platinum act Destiny's Child, and sought to find "stars," not "reality stars." Narrowed down from 600 contestants, the vocal quintet consists of Gabrielle Carreiro, Brienna DeVlugt, Kristal Lyndriette (formerly of the short-lived RichGirl), Shyann Roberts, and Ashly Williams. Once the lineup was solidified, they recorded a short, a cappella version of Drake's "Hotline Bling" as a showcase for their harmonic chemistry. Signed to major-label Epic, the group made their proper debut with "All of Us" and quickly followed it with "L.A.N.C.E." (as in "Don't want no lyin'-ass n*gga cheatin' every day"), both of which arrived mid-2016. In 2018, they issued the All of Us EP, which debuted at number 18 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart. ~ Andy Kellman
