In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up playing a variety of instruments (ukulele, guitar, piano, drums, etc.) and writing/journaling often. Eventually, I had the idea to combine both ideas into making music. I remember using soundtrap and BandLab to throw a song together.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Daniel Caesar, NEVER ENOUGH (Bonus Version) Kaleo, Aloha Monday d4vd, Petals to Thorns I’ve always loved Daniel Caesar and his music career, he inspired to RnB side to my music career. Aloha Monday is an album I grew up listening to, and this album inspired me to use a variety of instruments. D4VD is my main inspiration with indie rock
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Rewind Time.” I chose this song because it was more uplifting than my usual genre of music. While making this song in one night, I became obsessed with the sounds and rhythm of the song. Writing this song felt very natural and smooth to make (as opposed to drafts)
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Watching the sunset at the beach making music on the sand after a long day of surfing. I feel inspired and connected to the beach, sun, and moon. I simply enjoy the little things in life and being able to be in an area where I can find my happy place
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to eventually go on tour and my ultimate goal is to go on world tour and experience the different cultures and society’s that are outside of my own in California. I love to travel, so going on tour will practically be an excuse to travel.
