About LÉON
Swedish pop singer-songwriter LÉON rose to acclaim when “Tired of Talking,” a song she uploaded to SoundCloud to share with friends, unexpectedly became an international hit.
• The daughter of musicians, LÉON began making music at eight years old. By high school, she’d become the de-facto leader of a hip-hop and soul group.
• After graduation, LÉON enrolled in a music program for aspiring producers and songwriters. While there, she met producer Agrin Rahmani, with whom she began working closely.
• In 2015, LÉON uploaded the Rahmani-produced “Tired of Talking” to SoundCloud for her friends to hear. To her surprise, the song went viral, earning a gold certification and a Katy Perry cosign.
• Later that year, LÉON signed to Columbia Records and delivered her debut EP, Treasure, followed by her 2017 EPs For You and Surround Me.
• Led by the hit single “You and I,” LÉON’s 2019 eponymous debut album made the Swedish national music chart.
• LÉON wrote her 2020 album Apart about a recent breakup and feelings of loneliness during the pandemic.
