London, England-based vocalist Little Nikki (born Nicole Shortland) was a member of SoundGirl, a teen pop trio that released one charting U.K. single ("Don't Know Why") and opened for Justin Bieber and Pixie Lott prior to disbandment. Nikki subsequently went solo and, at the age of 16, debuted in late 2011 with the bounding dance-pop single "Intro Intro," which was a little more playful and free-spirited than the work with her group. In 2013, she released the animated pop-EDM single "Little Nikki Says," a Sony-distributed release that reached the U.K. singles chart. By the end of that October, its video was viewed over 700,000 times on YouTube. ~ Andy Kellman
