Followers of a trend called Mod, a British fashion and music style from the 1960s, Los Flechazos burst into the Spanish rock scene in 1986 comprising ex-Opera Prima and F.B.I. singer/guitarist Alejandro Díez, keyboardist Elena Iglesias Sastre, harmonica player José Berrot, drummer Pedro Javier Alonso and ex-Los Nietos de Ghandi singer/bassist Héctor Escobar. The Britpop-influenced quintet debuted in 1987 with Viviendo En La Era Pop. Their second album titled En El Club followed in 1989. Los Flechazos disbanded in 1998 after a live performance as part of the Purple Weekend Festival in their native León, Spain. ~ Drago Bonacich
