Hawaii native Matt Sato makes hooky acoustic and electronic pop. He initially found work as an actor on television before turning to music with his 2017 single "I Know."
Born 2001 in Mililani, Hawaii, Matt Sato grew up playing sports and even flirted with the notion of Olympic swimming before deciding to turn his attention to performing. By his teens, he was acting, appearing first on a 2015 episode of Hawaii Five-O and later joining the cast of the high school series Chicken Girls. He also began singing and quickly developed a strong social media following. In 2017, he posted his debut singles "I Know" and "Airplane Mode" online. Also that year, he made his singing stage debut with a live appearance at VidCon. A third track, "Do You Say My Name," arrived in 2018. ~ Matt Collar
