About Padre Fábio de Melo
Fábio de Melo, often referred to respectfully as Padre Fábio de Melo, is a Brazilian singer/songwriter, author, teacher, and priest of the Catholic faith who released a long line of albums around the turn of the century. Born Fábio José de Melo Silva on April 3, 1971, in Formiga, Minas Gerais, he began his recording career in the late '90s on the Paulinas COMEP label. The highlights of this catalog were compiled for release as Grandes Momentos (2007). In the late 2000s he switched to the Som Livre label and released albums including Vida (2008) and Eu e o Tempo ao Vivo (2009). ~ Jason Birchmeier
