Paranoise is Geoffrey Brown (drums), Jim Matus (guitar), Rohan Gregory (violin), Bob Laramie (bass), and Thorne Palmer (vocals). Many members of the group have impressive biographies. Brown is known for his work in the Monster Band and as a solo act under the name Ninja Rhythms. Matus has worked with artists as diverse as Don Cherry, Dave Weckl, Percy Jones, David Torn, Elliot Sharp, and Melvin Gibbs. Gregory is sometimes a member of the Klezmatics, and also has performed with Page and Plant and Joni Mitchell. Laramie has played with such notables as Matt "Guitar" Murphy and Laco Dezi. As a group they have released four albums, Constant Fear (1988), Start a New Race (1993), Private Power (1999), and ISHQ (2001). ~ Gary Hill
