With an astounding array of styles ranging from country to jazz, Rose Marie McCoy was one of the most prolific pop songwriters of the 1950s & '60s. McCoy's first taste of success came in 1952 when Big Maybelle covered her "Gabbin' Blues" (McCoy also traded vocals with the blues belter on the hit single). Some of her brightest moments came courtesy of the King of Rock & Roll; Elvis Presley had a Top 10 hit with McCoy's "That's All Right," and "Blue Christmas" remains a holiday standard.
