An electronically assisted funk trio from Boulder, Colorado, SunSquabi melds elements of jazz, dubstep, electronica, and prog with an organic live band experience. Since debuting in 2011 with the full-length Enhance, Chris Anderson (drums), Josh Fairman (bass/synth), and Kevin Donohue (guitar/keys/production) have released a steady stream of independent EPs, singles, and albums, before signing with Detroit's All Good Records. Run by future-funk producer GRiZ, All Good released SunSquabi's label debut, Odyssey, in 2016 which proved to be somewhat of a breakout for the band. Following a national tour and some prominent American festival appearances, they returned to the studio and recorded 2017's Deluxe EP. ~ Timothy Monger
