Folk-pop duo the Weepies are fronted by singer/songwriter/guitarists Steve Tannen and Deb Talan, a husband-and-wife team whose gentle guitars and sweet harmonies share stylistic similarities with other adult alternative artists like Shawn Colvin and the Indigo Girls. Their debut, 2003's Happiness, was followed by 2006's Say I Am You, which had some of its songs featured on popular television shows such as Grey's Anatomy and Scrubs. TV and advertising licensing continued with their third album, 2008's Hideaway, and Be My Thrill followed in 2010; both albums charted in the Billboard Top 50. After a break for a growing family and Talan's bout with breast cancer, Sirens arrived in 2015 and featured guest musicians including Gerry Leonard, Tony Levin, and Matt Chamberlain. ~ Anthony Tognazzini & Marcy Donelson
