About The Word Alive
Arizona metalcore outfit The Word Alive—led by vocalist Tyler Smith along with guitarist Jose DelRio, guitarist Logan Abernethy, and drummer Devin Attard—got their start in 2008. Founded by former members Craig Mabbit, Zack Hansen, and Tony Pizzuti, the band signed to punk label Fearless Records, debuting with the 2009 EP, Empire, and releasing their first full-length, Deceiver, in 2010. After 2020’s MONOMANIA the group left Fearless for Thriller Records in 2021 and produced Hard Reset in 2023. In 2024, The Word Alive re-recorded a version of their 2018 League of Legends World Championship theme song “Rise,” as well as “Ballerina,” and continued in 2025 with singles “Eyes Above” and “Til’ My Fingers Bleed” with DINO and DUCKWRTH.
