Florida rapper Trap Beckham delivers bouncy, light-hearted Southern hip-hop tailor-made for the club.
• His journey began at his sixth-grade talent show, where he performed an original rap song about “rolling deep in the club.”
• Formerly known as Yung Trap, the artist cut his teeth with annual mixtapes named for his birthday (7.14.12, 7.14.13, etc.) before his track “Birthday B**ch” earned him a record deal with Def Jam in 2016.
• His label had to get approval from the more famous Beckhams—soccer star David and “Posh Spice” Victoria—once he inked his deal.
• Having returned to being an independent artist, Beckham released the nine-track EP Make America Shake Again in 2020.
