During the audition, she met Missy Elliott and Timbaland, who would prove instrumental in her later solo success. • After years of doing backup vocals for Elliott, Tweet released her solo debut album, Southern Hummingbird, in 2002. It debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. • The album’s Timbaland-produced lead single, “Oops (Oh My)” (featuring Missy Elliott), reached No. 1 on the Billboard R&B charts and became a Top 10 pop crossover. • Following her 2005 sophomore album, It’s Me Again, Tweet wouldn’t release another project until 2016’s Charlene.
