Malik Venna, whose performance moniker is his last name, is an alto saxophonist, producer, bandleader, and composer from South London. A stalwart on London's wide-ranging jazz and Black music scenes, Venna's horn has been heard with Greentea Peng, Kali Uchis, Wizkid, Stormzy, Yussef Dayes, and Burna Boy, among others. With the latter he was nominated for a Grammy for his playing on 2020's African Giant, and he won one for playing on Burna Boy's Twice as Tall in 2021. That year, Venna released the Venology EP, and in 2022 he cut the charting collaborative single "Sicily Box" with Marco Bernardis and Rocco Palladino. He returned with the widely acclaimed Equinox EP in 2023. They were reissued in a single volume in 2024. In 2025, Venna released Malik, his debut album, on Night Time Stories. Its singles included the charting "Myself" (feat. Jorja Smith) and "Twisting" (feat. Leon Thomas).
