These punk gnashers formed in '02 in Los Angeles, and while The Bronx maintain a punk attitude, over time they've added metal, hard rock, and even mariachi to their sonic blasts. Known for high-velocity shows, the band released a raucous album and EP on their own imprint before jumping to the majors for '06's riff-tastic The Bronx LP. After an acclaimed follow-up, they began issuing unbelievably great albums under the name Mariachi El Bronx, adding horns and traditional instruments to bolster a cheeky (not cheesy) mariachi sound. Both versions of the band continue to record and perform.
