Hailing from the Rhône-Alpes region of France, these two sisters produce timeless, rhapsodic readings of not only canonical works from Brahms and Vivaldi but also contemporary (John Corigliano, Karl Jenkins) and popular composers (John Williams, Serge Gainsbourg). Camille, born in 1999, plays both violin and cello, and Julie, two years older, plays violin and viola. The duo has been on a roll since Camille was signed to Warner Classics after winning Prodiges in 2015, a competition for musicians under 15. Going forward, they honed their incredible communication, producing beautiful readings that are at the same time delicate and tumultuous.
