Writer, singer, rapper and producer MC Magic (born Marcus Cardenas) is a pioneer of Latin hip-hop. After the success of his 1995 debut album, Don't Worry, he formed the loose-knit Nastyboy Klick, which included one of his musical heroes, Roger Troutman of Zapp fame. 2006's follow-up, Magic City, refined his mix of smooth R&B and harder rap numbers, paying homage to Troutman with frequent use of talkbox. 2011's The Rewire was highlighted by "Todos Mis Dias," his biggest all-Spanish hit.
