Everything I Need

My car is pretty banged up

But it still runs just fine

It never breaks down and gets me where I need to go right on time

It’s no Ferrari but it works alright for me

I ain’t got much but I’ve got everything I need

 

I live in a single room in a building near downtown

The roof don’t leak and no one tells me to turn my music down

It’s no penthouse suite but it works alright for me

I’m just an average Joe I’m not a big celebrity

I’m not a wealthy man but I live within my means

I work hard to pay my bills and try to keep my record clean
