I used to be afraid to be alone

Being someone’s man

That was all I’d ever known

I was going through the motions

For days weeks and months

All because I was scared

Of admitting I was done

That wasn’t fair to them and it wasn’t fair to me

To just keep holding on instead of letting us go free
