Best Day I Ever Had

Skipped school on Monday

With a couple of my mates

Didn't want the weekend to be done

Got on the metro

Dressed up in our best clothes

Getting ready for the night to come

I was just seventeen

Felt so grand

Like I was floating above the ground

It was the best day I ever had

Well we went to a show

Someone that I know

Told me that he thought you might be there

And then I saw her

Standing in the corner

So I downed my drink and fixed my hair

We really hit it off

Then she said

Let's get out of here, this show's dead

It was the best night of my entire life

Next thing I know I'm in a truck

Seven firemen looking down at me

Just my luck

It was the worst day I ever had
