Forgive Them

Who is this Man? Calls Himself I Am? Says that His kingdom will not know an end Strike Him on His cheek throw Him at my feet You think You are a king? What has He done? He's only come to bless Says He's here to save us from our sinful flesh Is this not enough? No we want His blood I find no fault in Him People stand and mock Him they tear off His flesh Give Him His own cross to carry to His death Are you not the Son? Are you not our God? He would answer not Blood pours out His body He falls on His knees Crawls over the cross says it's for you and me Nails go through His hands nails go through His feet Listen to Him scream Jesus hangs to die they all laugh and yell If You can save others why not save Yourself? If You are a king come down from that tree He lifts His eyes and says Forgive them Forgive them Forgive them
