Grown

I'm tumbling through this life Like the jeans inside my dryer I've been swaying back and forth Like the trees in my front yard When I think I've found my way Give me til the end of day I'll have revelations, conversations Change the way I think I'm confident and wise Then I'm questioning and shy There's a grain of sand for every time I've said I'm 25 Maybe what they say is true You just don't know until you do Cause everyone I date only makes me Tired and confused I love my dog I'm best-friends with my mom I'm so sick of my phone And I live on my own But I wonder if I'll ever feel Grown There's things that I know now Responsibilities I'm proud to carry People who rely on me And people I've let down I've seen dreams of mine fulfilled Lost it all had to rebuild Friends have come and gone But never once has God not been my help I love my dog I'm bestfriends with my mom I'm so sick of my phone And I live on my own I have my routines I've learned some hard things I'm letting it go And I'm carrying on But I don't know if I will ever feel Grown Used to think getting older meant getting married and knowing everything That I would reach a point and it'd all make sense and I'd never be the same But I've been realizing the me that I was at 5 and 23 Is still the person sitting before me just with a haircut and whiter teeth It's just a blink There's so much more to see La da da da La da da La da da da La da da I love my dog I'm best friends with my mom I'm so sick of my phone And I live on my own I have my routines I've learned some hard things I'm letting it go And I'm carrying on But I don't know if I'll ever feel Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever feel No I don't know if I will ever feel Grown
