My eyes scan the list again

People I don't know, and I've never met

Cholim in places so far

But they are my dear brothers

And sisters I'm sure

Bet hours can feel like years

When you don't have a future that's free of fears

And dreams are a question mark

Hoping and waiting and chasing what's insecure

But it's not in the walls

Where white coats seem to reign

It's not in the letters that follow a name

But right here in the words that I say every day

That the comfort is real

Every voice, every heart, every tear that we cry

Every plea that we bring to the Healer on high
