Once upon a time there was a boy on a hill with a balloon

A red balloon standing perfectly still on an old pile of dirt

With a He-Man sword that he could slice through a He-Man's horde

He didn't want to grow up 'cause he liked being stuck

'Cause that's where you live the mostest when you know what's up

He fell in love with a girl with her own balloon

And they made baby balloons together, red and blue

She took him to his favorite place in the whole world to stand

And he gave her his balloon so he could hold her hand

It was a blustery day that afternoon in May

The string broke and the red balloon flew away

The little girl, she started to cry as they looked on high

At a single red balloon flying in the sky

He pulled her hand into his pocket with a mischievous smile

Said, "I think there's another one in there

If you look around for a little while"
