Sometimes when we speak
I think it comes out of me
Our conversations are drenched
In this curiosity
There are things I notice
Well I don't think you know
Like the way your skin escapes from around your clothes
Well my mind has gone and wandered
And ended up in bed, with you
Something in this real life I know I can never do
But I continue to play this fantasy out
Imagining my touch and the feel of your mouth
Yet I must hold on to a sensible nights end
And simply say goodnight my friend
I just want that moment my touch would give me
In my mind I know you would let me in so easily
You could comfort that part of me I'd forgotten and missed
The excitement and gentle hesitation of that first kiss
I have no idea the consequences that would arise
But given my desire I do imagine from time to time
To jeopardize our journey with this energy driving us ahead
Well I would not sacrifice it for a chance of you in my bed
So I'll let my mind go and wander and end up in bed with you
Something in this real life I know I can never do
But I'll continue to play this fantasy out
