Bal(i)haree gur aapan#e gur kou bal(i) jaayeeaa || 1 || A sacrifice am I unto my Guru, unto the Guru, I am a sacrifice. Aaye mil(u) gursikh aaye mil(u) too mere guroo ke piaare || rahaao || Come and see me O thou the disciple of the Guru, come and meet me Thou. Thou art my Guru's beloved. Pause. Har(i) ke gun# har(i) bhaavade se guroo te paaye || God's praises are pleasing to God. Them I have obtained from the Guru. Jin gur kaa bhaan#aa mn niaa tin ghum(i) ghum(i) jaaye || 2 || They, who obey the Guru's will, unto them, I am a sacrifice, yea a sacrifice. Jin sat(i)gur piaaraa dekhiyaa tin kou hou vaaree || They, who behold the beloved True Guru, unto them I am devoted. Jin gur kee keetee chaakaree tin sad bal(i)haaree || 3 || I am ever a sacrifice unto those who perform the Guru's service. Har(i) har(i) teraa naam(u) hae dukh met'an#haaraa || Thy Name, O Lord God, is the Destroyer of suffering. Gur sevaa te paayeeae gurmukh(i) nistaaraa || 4 || By the service of the Guru, the Name is received. It is through The Guru that emancipation is obtained. Jo har(i) naam(u) dhiaayede te jan parvaanaa || They, who contemplate the Lord's Name, acceptable become those persons. Tin vit'aho naanak(u) vaariaa sadaa sadaa kurbaanaa || 5 || Unto them, Nanak is a sacrifice and for ever and aver he is devoted. Saa har(i) teree ustat(i) hae jo har(i) prabh bhaavae || O God, the Lord Master, that alone is Thine praise, which is pleasing to thee. Jo gurmukh(i) piaaraa sevade tin har(i) fal(u) paavae || 6 || The Guru-wards, who serve the Beloved Lord, they obtain Him as their reward. Jinaa har(i) setee pirahar'ee tinaa jee(a) prabh naale || They, who cherish love for their Lord, their soul is ever attuned To God. Oye jap(i) jap(i) piaaraa jeevade har(i)naam(u) samaale || 7 || Meditating and ever dwelling upon the beloved, they live and they Gather God's Name. Jin gurmukh(i) piaaraa seviaa tin kou ghum(i) jaayiaa || The Guru-wards, who serve the Beloved Lord, unto them, I am A sacrifice. Oye aap(i) chhute parvaar siou sabh(u) jagat(u) chhad'aayiaa || 8 || They themselves are saved along with their families and through Them, the whole world is delivered. Gur(i) piaarae har(i) seviaa gur(u) dhn n gur(u) dhn no || My Beloved Guru has served the Lord. Blessed, blessed is the Guru, the True Guru. Gur(i) har(i) maarag(u) dasiaa gur pun n vad' pun no || 9 || The Guru has shown me the God's way, the Guru has done me The good, yea, the supreme Good. Jo gursikh gur(u) sevade se pun n paraan#ee || The Guru's disciples, who serve the Guru, they are the blessed beings. Jan(u) naanak tin kou vaariaa sadaa sadaa kurbaan#ee || 10 || Slave Nanak is a sacrifice unto them, unto them he is ever, ever Devoted. Gurmukh(i) sakhee saheleeaa se aap(i) har(i) bhaayeeaa || The Guru-ward mates and companions, they are pleasing to God Himself. Har(i) dargeh paenaayeeaa har(i) aap(i) gal(i) laayeeaa || 11 || In God's court, they are clothed with the robe of honor. The Lord hugs them to His bosom. Jo gurmukh(i) naam(u) dhiaayede tin darsan(u) deejae || The Guru-wards, who meditate on Thy Name, O Lord, bless Thou me with their vision. Ham tin ke charan# pakhaalde dhoor'(i) ghol(i) ghol(i) peejae || 12 || I wash their feet and stirring repeatedly the wash of their feet, I drink it heartily. Paan supaaree khaateeaa mukh(i) beer'eeaa laayeeaa || Har(i) har(i) kade na chetio jam(i) pakar'(i) chalaayeeaa || 13 || They who eat betel-leaf and betel-nut and apply red paint to Their lips but contemplate not ever the Lord God, them the death Myrmidon seizes and takes away. Jin har(i) naamaa har(i) chetiaa hirdae urdhaare || They who contemplate God's Name and God keeps clasped to Their mind and heart. Tin jam(u) ner'(i) na aavayee gursikh gur piaare || 14 || Death's courier draws not near them. The Guru's disciples are Beloved of the Guru. Har(i) kaa naam(u) nidhaan(u) hae koyee gurmukh(i) jaan#ae || God's Name is a treasure, but some rare one comes to know it Through the Guru. Naanak jin sat(i)gur bhet'iaa rn g(i) raleeaa maan#ae || 15 || Nanak they who meet with the True Guru, enjoy peace and pleasure. Sat(i)gur(u) daataa aakheeae tus(i) kare pasaaou || The True Guru is said to be the Bountiful donor. In his mercy He bestows gifts. Hou gur vit'ou sad vaariaa jin(i) ditar'aa naaou || 16 || I am ever a sacrifice unto the Guru, who has blest me with the Lord's Name. So dhn n(u) guroo saabaas(i) hae har(i) deye sanehaa || Blest! Blest! is the Guru, who imparts to me the Lord's message. Hou vekh(i) vekh(i) guroo vigasiaa gur sat(i)gur dehaa || 17 || Seeing, yea seeing the Guru and the body of the Great True Guru I am ever in bloom. Gur rasnaa an mrit(u) boladee har(i) naam(i) suhaavee || The Guru's tongue utters Divine Nectar and is adorned with God's Name. Jin sun#(i) sikhaa gur mn niaa tinaa bhukh sabh jaavee || 18 || The Sikhs who hear and obey the Guru, all their cravings depart. Har(i) kaa maarag(u) aakheeae kaho kit(u) bidh(i) jaayeeae || People talk of the God's way. Pray. tell me, by what means can I tread Upon it. Har(i) har(i) teraa naam(u) hae har(i) kharach lae jaayeeae || 19 || My Lord God, I can tread upon this path, by taking with me The viaticum of Thee and Thy Name. Jin gurmukh(i) har(i) araadhiaa se saah vad'daan#e || The Guru-wards, who meditate on the Lord, they are wealthy And very wise. Hou sat(i)gur kou sad vaariaa gur bachan(i) samaan#e || 20 || I am ever a sacrifice unto the True Guru and am absorbed in the Guru's hymns. Too t'haakhur too saahibo too hae meraa meeraa || Thou art the Master, Thou the Lord and Thou my Sovereign. Tudh(u) bhaavae teree bn dagee too gun#ee gaheeraa || 21 || If it so pleases Thee, then alone can Thy devotional service be Performed. O Lord, Thou art an ocean of merits. Aape har(i) ik rn g(u) hae aapae baho rn gee || Himselfm the Lord is manifest in many forms and Himself He Is in one form alone.
