I grew up in a small town

Never really had much

Looking back now

I never knew how lucky I was

To have folks that loved me

A roof over my head

Food on the table

My own room with a bed

After my parents divorced

I was playing sports

Making good grades

Started playing my guitar

Chasing after the girls

Thinking I could be star
