Little Life

Living in this small town Where everybody knows my name Familiar faces all around I put a smile on my face But they don't see it Can't see I wanna get away I'm walking down the same road As I did when I was three Don't even wanna go home I just wish that I could leave And see the big world And find who I'm supposed to be But that was high school me Now I'm a thousand miles away From what used to be The home I wanted to escape We always want what we don't have So if I went back in time I'd tell high school me To enjoy the little life Time flies by as the cool kids cry 'Cause we always thought we wanted more Football games and the things we'd hate Are now just memories we're searching for I can feel it coming now That feeling when I hit the ground It's something that I felt before Time just keeps on going by Now it makes me wanna cry 'Cause I won't be there anymore
