Galileo

I’ve loved the stars too fondly,

To be fearful of the night

I hold my head up proudly,

And I won’t give up the fight

Don’t look down at your feet,

Look to the stars instead

It’s no use looking where you’ve been,

Look where you’re going as well

There’s nothing in life to be feared,

It’s just to be understood

It’s the silence of the crowds,

When they drag you through the mud

This mountain is still a molehill in my mind

It hits me like a hammer blow from behind.

There’s no way that I can leave it all behind
