Magic

When I was a child 

And grand illusions

Flew across my mind

Wild was my imagination

Behind the curtains 

Wondering what I'd find

I'd find the charade 

And fascination, sure

They'd tell themselves

But we knew something else…

It's magic sometimes   

Believe it, you'll see it

It hides in plain sight all the while

Like love when the stars they align

With a slight of the hand

The light can play a trick at what you see

Then out of thin air or of a hat

These miracles that shatter your beliefs

With a wave of a hand

A coin or card appear all by it's self

But, you knew something else…
