Strawberry sun

Whatever you’ve done

Has happened to me

With a wind so cold

But you’ll have me pretend it’s a warm summers breeze

Me and my mind

Both riding our bikes

Down by the ravine

We’ll be parting our ways

Each reaching out

To make the break clean

But one of us won’t find our way

Be confused by the wind in the trees

Separate in a thickening haze

The other lies down

While another gets lost

Strawberry sun

It a strawberry sun

I guess that I’ve won

The separation is finally complete

I’ll be slaking my thirst

The same as the roots down by the ravine
