From time to time the mind can feel like living in a mine field / and I’m finding that being so likely to ignite isn’t really ideal / ‘cause even though I know all the hidden sites where my triggers hide I still can’t figure out how to tip toe around them / think I need a guide /

Does a map exist / give me the directions for navigating all of this / really need suggestions for charting the safest path / past the locations of the triggers for all of the charges / destined for detonation

Watch your step if you wanna dodge the imbedded bombs / then you better watch where you all tread / if you never set em off you’ll be better off / so you gotta watch your step / keep your eyes peeled where your heels stride / you’ve got no idea where they’re all spread / so be mindful of the minefields in our minds

I’m a hideous combination of ambition and impatience / being so easily irritated isn’t favourable in relationships / see my tolerance is fading like the ice on which you all are figure skating / and my ears have water vapour emanating when the misophonia has got me raging / but if I have an episode it’s only to prevent my head exploding / bottles only hold in so much pressure and eventually blow up / so if you ever witness the ire surface for breath / be aware that it’s only the tip of the iceberg of the rest
