Will there be a silent spring

Where the birds no longer fly

Will there be a silent spring

Before we finally hear them cry

We can throw away our aerosol in a can

We could live without our air conditioners again

And hope some of the efforts that we make are truly seen

Compared to the daily waste of the best run factories

We can all go to the store and buy ourselves a tree

Plant them in our yards to save the ecology

But at this very time not too many miles away

They’re cutting down old growth forests every single day

Where the birds no longer fly

Will there be a silent spring

Before we finally hear them cry

Separate our garbage, take the bottles and the cans

Make all the sacrifices known to modern man

But if we don’t see some major changes coming from the top

It won’t make a bit of difference cause the world as we know it will stop.
