The Hardest Part

When I was lonely

When I was scared

I lost myself so I cut my hair

In a word full of darkness

Feeling wicked myself

I forgot what it was to love someone else

Going through the motions for way too long

Echoes of the good times

Looking past my busted lip

Into my eyes you’d stare

Why did I try to fight it for so long

That was the hardest part of all
