Dragons in the Kitchen

There were dragons in the kitchen

There were people off the walls

They were wearing lots of colors

But their rooms were really small

They were laughing without crying

They were living without dying

They were singing a new song

But she had to wander on

She's singing with eyes closed

She knows not where she goes

And she wonders why the stars shine

As the sun begins to, sun begins to rise

There was chaos in the cosmos

And there were sparks between the spaces

That she didn’t know were there

Though she wouldn’t even dare

So he saddled his great stallion

With no trace he chased the beast

And she stayed at home to wait

Though she really should get away

Now shes singing with her eyes closed

She knows not where she goes

And she wonders why the stars shine as the sun begins to, sun begins to rise

So the journey grew long

And no beast but in his dark mind

And he wondered, “where’s the color?”

Then he saw the forest ablaze

Then he slayed that beast with great might

And he laid his ruin to rest

Then he triumphed home to her

But she had already heard

And gone away...

With her eyes open

She knows now where she goes

And she knows why the stars shine

As the sun begins to, the sun begins to rise
