Let you see the broken part of me Screaming reds and midnight blues

I was all yours

I let my guard down

And I stood proud

Cuz I believed I was standing for something good in you

I put my pride down

And believed I had found

The one I could call my own

You made me a believer

You made me fall in love

I fell for your scripture

But you're not the one

You were a god in my eyes

A shining glimmer of light

Until I realized

That it was all a lie

I took your word for truth

I never questioned you

Always remained true

Because I was in love with you

I always tried my best

I never passed your tests

Rules and consequence of

Falling for the wrong one

You promised love and growth

You said I'd never be alone

But the only hand I have to hold

is my own

I believed every word you said

Because your word was truth to me
