Spoken Word: The Turning Point

I've walked so far along roads I paved

With pride and drive by choices made

But the weight grows heavy the path unclear

And whispers of change are drawing near

I see now beneath the surface shine

The cracks that formed along this line

The voices I silenced the hearts I left

The lessons ignored the chances bereft

Each step forward brings me back

To the words I buried the things I lack

In the silence I feel the strain

An echo of truth an undertone of pain

But here I stand no longer bound

By the dreams I chased by hollow crowns

With open eyes I face the choice—

To heed the call of a deeper voice

There's freedom here in letting go

In walking paths I do not know

The world is wider than I could see

And wisdom waits to welcome me

So I turn unburdened light and bare

To forge a road with thoughtful care

No longer blinded by my pride

I walk with truth with peace inside
