There once was a boy who forgot who he was

He woke up one day and his memories were lost

He tried to think of yesterday, but half his mind had gone away

The other half was missing, and the rest could not be found

He tried to catch the dreams he'd had, but they seemed very strange and mad

And didn't tell him anything about who he really was

He then looked at his bathroom wall and saw a bearded man stand tall

The boy finally realized he was no boy at all

Looking at this strange new face, he couldn't help but ask

If he had always looked like that, or if it was a mask

He pulled and tugged at all the parts that didn't seem to match

But soon he had to give it up and just accept the facts

He stood there for a while, and he was feeling kind of odd

The memories came trickling in, and soon it was a flood

Remembering his name, his age, his job, and all that stuff

Still, he did not know anything about who he really was
