The Kingdom, Op. 51: IIIa. Pentecost (And when the day of Pentecost was fully come)

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. When the great Lord will, we shall be filled with the Spirit of Understanding. The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon them the spirit of wisdom and understanding. The spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge. Come from the four winds, O Spirit! I will pour forth of My Spirit, and they shall prophesy and I will shew wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth beneath.' When the Comforter is come, we shall bear witness and speak as moved by the Holy Spirit. When the great Lord will, we shall be filled with the Spirit of understanding.
