Tired of working, working for others

This systems broke, it's getting me down

Work to drive, drive to work, work for rent, rent to mortgage, mortgage with kids, kids and education

It's not my thing

An endless nightmare brought by the economy

And it's hard to fight that

Where's my enthusiasm

Where's my energy

I got skills but no interest to compete for scraps, that's not for me

That's not opportunity, that's magic beans

Humbled, check, time to move forward while time stands still

These truths exhaust me, I just want rest

Reading books, cooking meals

with my partner and cat

Escape with Gordon, Smith and Radelet

Tired of working, working for others

This systems broke, it's getting me down

I just want to play my music

without societies expectations of how I "should be"

Thank you dreams

Thank you food

Thank you music

Thanks books and tv

Cause I don't want to live like this anymore,

This worlds gone crazy

I don't want to live like we have before

I need escaping

Rather not feed into this system

And bring change from within

We all need a baseline social system

But I'd rather reach that golden age
