He fell asleep in '90 woke up last Friday Turned on the news couldn't believe his ears Beard down to his toes, mind full of woes (Spent a day) Spent a day trying to regret his way back twenty lost years And he walked out his door And the world had changed What was the sky now the floor Completely rearranged He hadn't even seen the half of it So he went back the way he came And he sat and stared At an old picture frame Until he no longer cared About his past, he thought that it would help One night he went outside and saw a UFO He begged them to take him, had no other place to go He doesn't know what to do, he just hangs around (Hangs around) But they couldn't stay in his air or they would surely drown (They would, they would surely drown) So they went away But they came back Every single day Wherever he was at They couldn't stay away They needed him They never said a word Not a word could be heard But they understood That man was good And they were happy, happy as can be Though he knows it's his time to go H acts just so that you'd never know Yeah even though he knows it's his time to go The way he smiles you'd never know
