Swallow the road
We laughed as we drive and

Under us now
A moment suspended
Oesophagus
Tunnels of trees
Shadows of leaves

Mine on the seat
Future debris
Isn't that me?
Then gravity lurches
Our smiles get smudged together
Wipe it off
Little hands don't hold
Ours path's a maze of static
Waking up
Which way did you go?
But in the bright light of death
Come pull me through the fabric
