The reason I started making music was

Not to get famous or to make everyone notice me

Like hey guys look over here I'm really doing something

You know check me out

But what this has always been is to impact people with my lyrics

And to let them know that there's something greater than us and that's Christ

This is so much deeper than making a name for myself with my music

And being able to support myself through it

Of course I'd love all that

But what this has been for the past 6 years now is me taking this

Gift God has given me

which I talk about all the time in my songs

And using it not for my name but for his

I mean I've risked my own future for this

And I have no idea what's coming next

But I called this album commencement because

This is the commencement of dream Gods placed in my heart since I was really really young

And I'm just here to do his will not mine
