Taking up Space

I've always been mindful of stepping on toes But when mine get stepped on, I apologize I don't know where that little voice comes from But it's gotta go I think it's that feeling of being Stuck in between Not caring at all and worried about how people perceive me Is it loud in here or am I just breathing? I'm tired of Dulling my shine Dimming my light Just to make someone's a little bit brighter Apologizing For speaking my mind, and Making my voice just a little bit quieter I'm a chameleon every day I'm sick of changing colors Shapeshifting always So, why play the game?
